Netizen's point out the hypocrisy during the criticism of IVE's Jang Won Young and Leeso's 2022 Gayo Daejejeon performance of 'Strawberry Moon'. The two members and Starship Entertainment (IVE's company) received a lot of criticism and went on KBS news for “deceiving the audience” with their performance.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM who were also caught lip-syncing, received little to no attention or criticism like the IVE members did. Which points out the hypocrisy of fans and shows that there is a double standard when it comes to groups like IVE, aespa and Blackpink.

The main problem is that is so lip syincing normalized that idols do it while sitting down, and performances dont feel genuine ever. Idols before did it too, but now its so normal that they dont ever worry about getting caught, they dont even change their faces to pretend that they are singing. Since people realized that sm artists, mainly aespa, did it all the time, we realized how common it is, like up until Coachella Aespa had sung like 2 times live. Some people say its because their choreos are harder but idols are suppose to be trained for years to be able to do it, Nmixx has some of the hardest choreos in 4 gen and they sing live whenever they can, same happens with Twice, Seventeen and Ateez. I dont think that they should sing live all the time, they should also rest their vocal cords, but in a end of the year performance? Where you are sitting down? Its just unacceptable, we havent heard live some of this 4th gen idols ever, that is not okay. Also, was not the problem with IVE that they used the same vocals that they used in the cover and Starship didnt even bother to record a new one?
