Kim Taehyung's social media influence is a force to be reckoned with, and the social-economic value of his 5-month-old Instagram account has already surpassed that of big global stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Ariana Grande, and Selena Gomez.
K-media compared V's brand value using SPEAKRJ, a social media auditor blog in India that analyzes, optimizes, and tracks the growth of social media accounts. The site's "Influencer Statistics" sets the cost of an influencer post based on the number of followers and engagements.
According to the algorithm used by SPEAKRJ, the estimated cost of sponsorship posts on V's Instagram account is estimated to be up to $773,000 (960 million won) per post as of April 22. He boasts a high engagement rate of 32%, with an average of 12.9 million likes per post.
$773,000 per post is not only the highest amount among BTS members and K-pop idols but also the highest among celebrities in the world.
V's post is worth more than global stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo (451K USD), Kylie Jenner (514K USD), Selena Gomez (226K USD), Kendall Jenner (362K USD), Zendaya (528K USD) and Leo Messi (308K USD). He also has the highest engagement rate and likes per post.
Taehyung's dominance on Instagram is evident in all aspects, including the number of likes, video views, followers, and popularity, which has earned him the title of "King of Instagram."
V's recent video clip of him dancing alone at a jazz bar gained 20 million views in 13 hours, the fastest record for an Asian act on the platform and the second in the world after Cristiano Ronaldo.
He is the only Asian person who entered the official list of the 'Top 20 Most-Liked Posts' on the platform. He ranks alongside celebrities with 100 to 400 million followers.
Taehyung also continues to demonstrate the fastest growth in followers on the platform since Day 1. He has recently surpassed 40 million followers in just 135 days of opening an account.
