Kim Taehyung's quick impromptu ad-libs and gestures on stage elevates his performances to a whole new level. Mnet producers have proven that V deserves the title of 'Stage Genius' for his expertise in engaging with the audience through the camera.

CJ E&M, a South Korean entertainment and mass media company, posted an interview with the production team of one of their music programs Mnet.

Mnet's digital studio M2 team PD Nam Dong Yoon was asked which idols are skilled at finding their fancams while performing. He instantly named Taehyung! 

The ability to instantly find a camera while singing and dancing, and immersing the audience in the song's atmosphere, is the basic factor for creating successful fancams.

Unsurprisingly, Taehyung, who excels in connecting with the audience through the camera lens, also holds the record for the most-viewed fancam in Youtube history. His fancam for 'Boy With Luv' has 138 million views to date, more views than a lot of K-pop artist's music videos.

Mnet K-POP also released a special feature about BTS's MAMA performances over the years. Mnet producer Cho Hye Mee shared that Taehyung often proposes ideas in their performances. She gave the ending of their 2020 'Dynamite' performance as an example.

The Mnet producer explained, “At the end of the performance, there’s a scene where V took his glass off, originally it wasn’t there.”

She adds, “but he came out to talk to me separately on the last day of the recording, saying, “I think it would look good if I take off my glass while looking at the camera.” So, we said Let’s try it. And it turned out great.”

Taehyung is a master at his craft, and he continues to inspire fourth-generation idols through his performances.
