BTS's SUGA is the highest-ranking male idol on Gaon Weekly Social Chart

For week 39 of 2020 (2021.09.19 - 2021.09.25), BTS's SUGA was the highest-ranking male idol on the Gaon Social Chart. He has climbed up 9 spots and landed at #18. SUGA has spent 15 consecutive weeks on the chart in 2021 and 32 weeks in total without having an official solo debut.

*Gaon Social Chart is a weekly chart that ranks the top 50 most popular South Korean musical artists according to data collected from digital platforms YouTube, TikTok, V Live, Mubeat, and MyCelebs.

SUGA is well-known for his marvelous producing and beat-making skills and is called "Hands of Midas" by Media for producing hits after hits. Samsung recently approached him to remix their "Over the Horizon" theme song/ringtone.

According to a Samsung representative, SUGA was the perfect person to remix the track, which is the default ringtone on all Samsung smartphones.
