Army angry as Paraguayan media outlets print articles saying BTS are "fraudulent" artists and a reporter makes a racist comment

On June 14th, media outlets from Paraguay published malicious articles towards BTS, pointing them as dishonest people that committed fraud in order to be at the top of the charts. The article is under ABC Color, and the writer's name is just listed as "EFE," details that demonstrate poor journalism. Even worse, this is one of the most important and prominent media outlets in Paraguay.

Not only did they posted an article like this on their media, but also they published it in the newspapers, misinforming the readers, making them believe that what is said is true and dirtying BTS's name, alongside other artists as British solo singer Harry Styles and American composer Taylor Swift. The funny thing about it is that this article claimed to know exactly how economy and trades work, just to Paraguayan ARMY find out that is the translation of an actual and already published article on the American media Stereogum, ending this case into plagiarism. So, the defamatory, malicious, and plagiarized article must be erased and should be demanded.

ARMY-PY created documents to sent at the email provided by Big Hit Entertainment in order to let them know what's happening and giving the reasons why they must do something. The allegations are that the mediocre media must not exist anymore, and no one should start minimizing anyone's hard work and make them "guilty" from "committing fraud." ABC Color is still a huge editorial in the country. However, it's been almost a decade since its news and content were going down and down, making their readers change their daily information source. A tabloid press is what characterizes this medium, and although it seems to be unimportant, because of content like the one they impart is that people read mediocre news, becoming readers with mediocre knowledge. The job of a journalist is to investigate and get results from the best sources. Why would the reader have to investigate a little more, if that is no longer its job?

Instead of publishing about the honest career of BTS, with all their records and achievements, they just decided to team up with people who love trying to humiliate artists when, in reality, they just humiliate themselves, showing no interest in what their profession means. A day after, on June 15th, a Paraguayan journalist from another media press called "GEN Paraguay" mocked BTS by saying, "they are overrated. They look better than their opponents, although EXO has a better vocal range, MONSTA X is cooler, GOT7 has more content and Seventeen is better. I said what I had to say", hitting on the desk as if he were as funny as he believes to be. Technically, the Paraguayan media press has been mocking out artists, unluckily turning it into a press that is in favor of xenophobic and sexist comments. Neither ABC Color nor GEN apologized for what they have done and how disgusting are their content.

Additionally, the reporter made racist comments, saying the only way to differentiate between the members is through their hair color.

La Nación and Crónica, two media outlets commented on the situation, writing a very detailed and complete article about it and pointing out Forbes as the best source when it comes to the charts and how they work. We can take this as a competition, but Journalism must be done by facts and not by some rumors or wannabe writers that copy-paste what is said.

International ARMY from Latin America, North America, and even South Korean ones had already shared and make the issue bigger, as they have shown total support for Paraguayan ARMY, a fanclub that has done a lot for their country, even more than the own governor, Mario Abdo. Now, ARMY-PY doesn't want an apology anymore. The media has taken extremely far this malicious report and even worse, made jokes about it, which only generates confusion and disgust towards the representation of what journalism is like in the country.

The tags used were #DisculpateABCCOLOR and #ApologizeABCCOLOR in order to get to more ARMY around the world and to make Big Hit Entertainment take legal action on the matters. The wishes from ARMY-PY is not only to stop the tabloids but to stop generating these kinds of journalists who contribute nothing to society but misinformation and the leading to ignorance. BTS is well known for their honesty and their goals with no dirty game in it, and the same for those artists who were mentioned above.

No matter whether you are ARMY or not, this could happen to any artists and that will make them refrain from coming to your country because the media made the effort to corrupt their names by pointing them out as criminals. So please, you should consider joining ARMY-PY cause by tweeting your own statement using the tags provided. Let's stop the mediocre press.

Well... BTS are not fraudulent artists, but... let's just say that kpop fandoms do things on a whole other level.
