VICTON's Byungchan is set to star in the upcoming historical drama 'Affection'.

After reports of his casting, Play M Entertainment confirmed Byungchan will be starring in the series alongside SF9's Rowoon and Park Eun Bin. 'Affection' will follow "King" Lee Hwi (played by Park Eun Bin), who hides the fact that she's a woman in order to sit on the throne. 

Byungchan will be taking on the role of royal guard Kim Ga On, who's sworn to protect "King" Lee Hwi. The drama will be directed by Song Hyun Wook, who was behind 'Another Oh Hae Young', and it's written by Han Hee Jung, who was behind 'Clean with Passion for Now'.

'Affection' is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year.
