Anyway, now I have this image of a 80 y. old Seohyun in huge sunglasses driving around in a convertible with three poodles on the backseat.

I mean, I'm not saying she didn't work hard and keep her nose to the proverbial grindstone, because every single member of Girls Generation both past and present did just that. However, I also think it helped that she had an overbearing and controlling company that probably made her sign a huge laundry list of obligations and regulations in her contract that would basically keep her out of the business if she messed anything up. Case in point, Jessica Jung- why do you think we've never heard anything solid from her in terms of an actual complaint about her previous time at SM? Not saying this to open up that can of worms again (as everyone has their opinion on that dark time for SNSD), but there are clearly things she'd like to say that even now, legally, she can't. So I think part of it was Seohyun looking forward to the future, and another aspect was definitely her company keeping her under their metaphorical thumb while she was there.
