Yuqi cries thinking about her parents' opposition to her becoming a celebrity

Yuqi teared up thinking about her parents.

She was a guest on the March 4th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Hello Counselor'. One of the concerns that came on the show was a mother who was worried about her daughter who was trying to become a singer. The daughter said, "My mother ruined my dreams by criticizing me. My self-confidence is very low." The mother explained, "She wasn't accepted into the applied music program, and this is her 3rd time trying. She practices singing every day and causes trouble for her younger sibling, who is currently a senior in high school, and the rest of the family."

Yuqi ended up tearing up listening to the two argue. When asked why, Yuqi explained, "I was in the same situation as the daughter. I wanted to become a singer, but my parents didn't support me." However, she continued, "But now, I understand why my parents were against it. To get to where we are now, we talked endlessly. When I realized my parents gave me criticism because they loved me, I understood it all."
