6 Fan-Favorite Official K-Pop Remixes

AKP STAFF

DJs and the EDM community have taken a liking to K-Pop with the incorporation of K-Pop songs into their major performance sets, but they're not the only ones taking into account the opportunity to re-master some of K-Pop's biggest hits. In fact, the company behind these groups are always finding new ways to bring alternate spins and new on-stage performances for songs that have already been tried and true successes in the music scene. Here are the 6 fan-favorite official K-Pop remixes and re-masters:

6. miss A - Good-bye Baby (Silver Mix)

"Good-Bye Baby" is another ultimate K-Pop classic and the Silver Mix done for the remix of the song did the original justice. The drip-drop of the bass line written in the remix makes the song a bit slower in tempo but works perfectly with the pre-existing vocals. miss A truly made an iconic song in 2011 with "Good-Bye Baby" that's still relevant well into today.

5. BTS - Fake Love (Rock Version)

At the '2018 MAMA,' BTS gave an amazing performance of a rock-inspired re-rendering of "Fake Love." The addition of aggressive guitars and drum kits added to the edgy aspects of the performance. The original "Fake Love" is incredibly powerful, but when the initial "I'm so sick of this fake love" hits during this rock remix, it's impossible to avoid the spine-chilling effect.

4. EXO - Wolf (EDM Concert Version)

"Wolf" is one of K-Pop's biggest staple songs. It seems that anyone familiar with K-Pop is familiar with EXO's "Wolf," but only fans who have been to live shows know that "Wolf" has a remixed EDM version specifically for on-stage performances for their concerts. The performance version of this song has much more dynamic excitement and is an amazing spectacle to behold!

3. LOONA - Hi High... Only it's the Remix

The remix for LOONA's "Hi High" is extremely different from the normal sound LOONA employs. In fact, they go for a more mainstream, bubbly K-Pop sound than usual. The remix is much faster than the original and totally serves as an earworm for those who are unfamiliar with the song. The remix for "Hi High" is a good way for fans to transition into LOONA from other bubblegum pop groups.

2. PENTAGON - Shine (Acapella Remix)

The fellas of PENTAGON show us that it doesn't take an elaborate EDM remix to rework an existing track. In fact, with an intense focus on just vocals, PENTAGON is able to do a wonderful acoustic reworking of "Shine" by singing the beat as a Glee Club does. A gorgeous rendition that showcases every member's talents!

1. TWICE - TT (Doll Version)

TWICE did a special performance of "TT" in 2016 with a remastered instrumental for the song. The girls took on a doll-like performance and the remix to the original track varied greatly from the original bubbly K-Pop classic. The upbeat addition of rhythms and a number of special effects like bells and synths added to this 'doll version' of "TT."
