IU speaks up about the real estate controversy + swears on her entire career that she's innocent

IU voiced up about the real estate controversy.

On January 8, IU personally addressed the issue with a lengthy post on Instagram. The singer strongly denied rumors of her using insider information for real estate investment.

She stated, "Obtaining unjust information for a 2.3 billion KRW (2 million USD) profit. All of it is not true. I swear on my entire career - the most precious thing to me - to say there is not even a little bit of lie in me. It's a place I have decided on to stay for a long time and carry on my plans. However, there are still people claiming I have obtained unjust information with the goals of obtaining unjust profit. Show me your clear evidence."

IU continued, "I'm confident I won't become anxious or tired so I will receive an apology some day. In addition, as it was revealed yesterday, the building is used not only by me but also by many others. Reporters, please respect the privacy of those people and the neighbors."
