On November 23, reports revealed Kim Na Young's husband had been arrested after running an illegal business selling fraudulent gift options and acquiring around 2 billion Won ($1,767,018.60 USD). The TV personality then apologized on his behalf, stating, "I didn't imagine that my husband's work related to such bad business. I'm afraid my feelings don't compare to the despair and loss of those who are hurt by this, but I'm also in pain and very caught offguard by this sudden news."
She further apologized for cancelling her scheduled events due to the unfortunate news and asked for understanding.
