On October 20, HyunA shared a photo of her weight on the weight scale!
The idol has been posting tons of Instagram updates since her official departure from Cube Entertainment, and her latest post consists of her standing on a weight scale, showing that she currently weighs 43.1 kg (~ 95 lb). According to HyunA's profile, she is approximately 164 cm tall (~ 5ft 5inches).
Why do you think HyunA decided to share the post on her SNS?

first of all, she is probably shorter than 164cm in real life
secondly, her bones always seemed very light to me
So I am not concerned, but maybe, just maybe she wants to show a weight gain in the future; remember how she underlined in her letter after ending contract with CUBE that she was sacrificing her health for those losers. I hope now she will be ableto take care of herself.

wow. she's very underweight. 43kg for someone who's 164cm? she needs to be at least 50kg or above. i hope she can eat full meals and enjoy her time now that she left cube.

well if i'm not wrong the ideal weight for women are their height-110, for male it is -100 but then again every people have their own ideal body

you're also underweight, you should be around 48kg and above to have a healthy weight.

People are misunderstanding the whole situation. Hyuna commented on her post (in Korean though people have translated the comments for people who don’t speak Korean) and said that she gained this weight through healthy eating and exercise. The point of the post wasn’t to ‘prove how skinny she is’ or to ‘promote weight loss’ she is showing her healthy weight gain now that Cube isn’t controlling her weight anymore. So instead of commenting negative things or commenting on how she weighs too little, please leave Hyuna positive comments and show support for her regaining control of her body. ^^

So she's a bit over 5'3" and weighs 95 lbs. A guess that's ok as long as she's healthy but an extra 10 lbs or so probably wouldn't hurt. ^^

I'm 164cm and that's 5'3 ft. not 5'5... but anyhow I'm still overweight. LOLS . for 164, ideally it should 52kgs and that's way too skinny.

This is a misconception...52kgs for 164cm isn't "way too skinny". I'm 53kgs for 165cm which is roughly the same, and I do look thin but you no one that saw me naked could call me too skinny. I have some boobs, a litte belly pouch, a slight muffin top situation and some noticeable muscle mass. You can definitely tell that I'm 10kgs heavier than Hyuna lol. For this height, you only look significantly fragile when you go inside the 48-50kgs area, depending on the person. And yes a few kilos make a big difference when you're already on the thin side.
But of course you don't HAVE to drop your weight to 52kgs to be healthy and pretty. That's just a rough estimation of the "ultimate" health weight that would work for most people.

how can you say it's a misconception? You forget that people has different builds. 52kgs and i have densed big bones and I look gaunt this way. So I maintain a healthy 60kgs which still look fit on me but for others they take it as a bit on the heavy side. mind you, i don't have muffin top even at 65kgs. and yes im 164cm. but in hyuna's case she is definitely very thin and perhaps under nourished. for 164cm, this is way tooo toooo small.. people at this is even lighter than someone with 4'11 height.

I see where you're going with this.
In fairness, I am 5'5.5 and my weight is 53-54kg but I wear a UK 6 (so US 2), you can definitely see rib outline, (not something I necessarily like) and a very flat stomach and I will never be 43 kg. When I see the GP, they always suggest I am underweight until I get on the scales.
Muscle mass, bone density, any number of things comes into why SK women seem to weigh so much less despite not looking especially different.

Well you guys are lucky. I'm one flabby potato for my weight/height ratio lol. So I guess my bones are light.
I do agree that Hyuna looks under-nourished though. It's been the case for years and it used to look even more worrying. I'm glad that she seems to be willing to take (better?) care of her health.

That's a not a lot considering her age and how tall she is........ I don't understand why she would share that, it just sends a bad message to her young fans. This obsession Koreans have with women weighing 45 kg is unhealthy and strange.

People keep saying that she is underweight, you have to understand that SOME Asians have skinny bones hence why some are skinny NOT by choice (Not even only Asians). But, at the same time, she was forced to be the same weight, if not, skinner when she was in CUBE.

I’m not super good at Korean but I’m pretty sure Somin said something like ‘Unnie eat lots of delicious food!’, and that Hyuna replied something like ‘I ate a lot! Somin as well’. ^^

Oh wow. I hope she is healthy. I personally loose weight when I am under stress. I was working and studying and when I went home after 6 months of no show, my mom started crying when she saw me.Then the poor soul started cooking in excess in order to fatten me up. I was always skinny but with the height of 168 and 45 kg I guess I made people worry. I did eat normally but I was just under so much stress and constantly on the move so it happened.

She's 5'5" or 165cm and her weight has always been 42-44kg (92-97 pounds) and idk about you guys but her body is really sexy with that weight. During bubble pop she said she was 39kg (85 pounds) so 43kg is back to her usual weight. She must have a good muscle/fat ratio too.

Yes, that weight isn't usually normal weight if you check bmi-chart but it depends about your body type :D Anyway I want her to be healthy as well! ^.^
