YG Entertainment denied it was creating a new audition show.
An exclusive report had claimed that YG Entertainment was preparing an idol fostering project that would be different from regular audition shows. An insider said, "It's a new try that they've been wanting to do. It'll be different from simple audition shows, and will start in October." The show will be headed by YG Entertainment's producer Han Dong Chul, who produced 'Show Me the Money', 'Unpretty Rapstar', as well as 'MIXNINE'.
The report was met with mostly criticism because of how YG Entertainment had handled 'MIXNINE'. In response, YG Entertainment said, "It's not an audition program. PD Han Dong Chul is preparing something completely different from 'Show Me the Money'."
