Jin Hua's mother shared her initial reaction to her son's marriage.�
On the July 17 airing of TV Chosun's 'Flavor of Wife', Jin Hua (24), his wife Ham So Won (42), his mother, and his sister continued to spend time together for the first time.�
Jin Hua asked his mom, "How did you feel when I told you that I was marrying Ham So Won?"�She replied, "Honestly, I was so surprised and it was so sudden." She explained,�"He has never told me that he had a girlfriend. He's a kid without much dating experience. Ham So Won is his first love."

�However, Jin Hua, who was watching the footage from the studio, commented, "I did have girlfriends but I've never introduced them to her as my future wife."
Jin Hua's mother continued, "Jin Hua is a precious son that came after having 3 daughters. Not only because he's marrying a foreigner but I believed I wouldn't be able to depend on him like how other mothers depend on their sons."
She added, "I've ultimately come to accept (his marriage) but then I found out that she's much older. I thought she would be about 2-3 years older than him but she was actually more than 10 years older. I couldn't help but accept it in the end."
Jin Hua's sister explained, "She opposed, not because of the age but because of the distance. We were worried that we would get into fights due to cultural differences."
However, Jin Hua's mom showed affection for Ham So Won, saying, "I love it all now."
