SBS has done it again with another brilliant parody.
On June 13, the provincial election took place in South Korea. A number of variety shows and dramas did not air due to the election broadcast, however, SBS made sure to keep their viewers entertained.
Similar to last year's 'Game of Thrones' parody for the presidential election, SBS took on the theme of 'Harry Potter', 'Star Wars', 'Produce 101' and more for the provincial election broadcast.
In the 'Harry Potter' theme, the candidates turned into wizards in capes and scarves and flew around on brooms. They turned into Jedis with lightsabers in the 'Star Wars' theme. The candidates even danced to the theme song "Pick Me" from the popular audition program.

SBS' unique and humorous theme once again gave them the highest viewer ratings for the election broadcast among the major broadcast stations (SBS, MBC, KBS, JTBC).
SBS topped the viewer ratings by recording 7.55%, while KBS1 came in second with 6.39% and JTBC with 3.51%.
Netizens are applauding SBS for the superb parody, commenting, "Omg this is brilliant lol", "I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This is crazy hahaha", "I'm only going to be watching SBS for elections from now on", "lolol I love it."
