The center position on 'Produce 48' reportedly went to Sakura Miyawaki.
On April 18, an exclusive report by Ilgan Sports stated that the popular AKB48 member Sakura Miyawaki has taken the center on the new Mnet competition program.
In response to the report, a rep from Mnet stated, "It's difficult to share details on the 'Produce 48' contestants. Please check the broadcast."
Earlier this month, 'Produce 48' with trainees from both Korea and Japan started training and dorm life. Former 'Produce 101' contestants, Kang Daniel and Jeon So Mi, also reportedly made special appearances during recording.
The first episode of 'Produce 48' is set to air in June.
