On April 10, Chaejin posted the letter of apology on MYNAME's official fan cafe. The letter addressed the recent controversy involving the photos with Urban Zakapa's Jo Hyun Ah.

The letter reads as follows:
Hello, this is Chae Jin Suk.
First of all, I apologize for causing concerns to my fans, member hyungs, agency family, peers, and family members with the recent incident. I'm sorry but it took me several days to bring out the courage to deliver this message.
The footage unintentionally got revealed online but it's my careless act that has caused it all, so I want to say I am sorry.
The truth was exaggerated and altered so I was personally very shocked, scared, and upset but as a person who lived for the public and the fans for the past 8 years, it was difficult to face the fact that I have caused disappointment to them.
I believe my lack of virtue has caused everything. What happened on that day is as explained by my agency with no lies or additions (to the truth). I was able to reflect and learn from this incident. I was also able to deeply realize that my actions can become the touchstone of the way I have lived and the path I have walked.
Once again, I sincerely apologize to my fans, MYNAME members, agency family, peers, family members, and everyone.
