During the January 4 broadcast of tvN's 'Life Bar', singer Uhm Jung Hwa opened up on the reason why her comeback was delayed.
She confessed, "I received surgery for thyroid cancer and I lost my voice. A month had passed and I still couldn't speak. Later, I found out that my vocal cords were paralyzed."
Uhm Jung Hwa went on, "They say that vocal cord paralysis can impact you for life. And I began to think, 'What if I can't sing, talk, or act anymore?' It drove me insane."

She described how she was able to get her voice back after receiving medical treatment and going for physical therapy. "It was really hard for me back then. I think my personality changed after that incident. I became more timid and grateful for every little thing."
