During the January 4 broadcast of tvN's 'Life Bar', singer Uhm Jung Hwa opened up on the reason why her comeback was delayed.
She confessed, "I received surgery for thyroid cancer and I�lost my voice.� A month had passed and I still couldn't speak.� Later, I found out that my vocal cords were paralyzed."
Uhm Jung Hwa went on, "They say that vocal cord paralysis can impact you for life.� And I began to think, 'What if I can't sing, talk, or act anymore?' It drove me insane."

She described how she was able to get her voice back after receiving medical treatment and going for physical therapy.� "It was really hard for me back then.� I think my personality changed after that incident.� I became more timid and grateful for every little thing."
