On December 5, fans on online community DCInside SHINee gallery requested Onew leave the group. In the fan group's statement, they stated that because the majority of SHINee's fandom is made up of women, it's impossible to accept and support Onew's activities on an ethical level. They further said Onew's sexual harassment incident has damaged SHINee's reputation, adding, "We strongly demand the withdrawal of Onew for the smooth operation of SHINee's activites and the survival of the group."
