Recently, netizens started spreading rumors about Sunmi not being heterosexual after seeing the idol with short nails. The singer herself reacted rather coolly to the speculations with a selca and caption, "Is there anything wrong with my nails? Haha"

Her label, MAKE US Entertainment, also didn't seem too concerned about the issue. To SBS funE, the agency stated, "We're not making a big deal out of it. We simply think it was a result of excessive affection and attention."
