Earlier this year, the new girl group consisting of 'Produce 101'/I.B.I'sSoohyunalong with 'K-Pop Star 6'/The Ark'sMinju,Eunbin,Sul Ahand Debby dropped teasers for their debut. Then months later on October 20, HYWY Entertainmentrevealed that DayDay ultimately decided not to debut.

The statement reads as follows:
"Hello, this is HYWY Entertainment.
First, we want to thank and also apologize to everyone who've waited for DayDay's debut. After a long discussion, DayDay, who were preparing for their debut under HYWY Entertainment, decided not to be together due to differences in opinion and various conflicts within the agency. We're only apologetic as we were unable to deliver good news to the many fans who were waiting for DayDay's debut. Although they can't be together in the group DayDay, we ask you to continue showing support and encouragement for the 5 members as they walk down their own path. We once again want to apologize for causing concerns to fans. Thank you.
DayDay's official social media accounts will be deleted next Monday, October 23, and the official fan cafe plans to shut down on October 23. We ask for your understanding. Thank you."
