Producer Bang Jin Kang admitted he had plagiarized a song by Highlight's Junhyung.

Recently, a track titled ''Insomnia'' by Taiwanese singer Wilber Pan was accused of plagiarizing a song produced by Junhyung and composer Kim Tae Joo from 'Showtime: Burning the Beast' in 2014.

In response to the controversy, the producer of ''Insomnia'' provided an official apology and stated, "I'm a huge fan of B2ST. While I was producing 'Insomnia', I think I unconsciously used the melody that was played in the show.'' He also apologized to the singer of ''Insomnia'', stating, "I apologize to Wilber Pan who also took part in writing the lyrics to the song. I am willing to accept any lawful responsibility if I have violated the copyrights."

Junhyung's side also spoke up about the issue. On August 15, Around US Entertainment stated, "We appreciate Bang Jin Kang for admitting and providing an apology. As for the copyright infringement, we plan to take action to prevent further violation of Junhyung's rights."
