There are fans in North Korea who are risking their lives for EXO.

Twitter Korea recently shared an interesting video showing how more than 11 million tweets have been posted about EXO immediately after the start of the group's official Twitter account.

The red light signifies the areas where tweets have been made about the boy group. As you can see, the light shines brightly in South Korea and also in many other regions around the world including North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.

Out of all of the lights, the light beams in the areas of North Korea caught the attention of many. The red light is seen glowing in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, as well as several other cities of the country.

Former North Korean deputy ambassador Thae Young Ho explained that it has now become common for North Koreans to enjoy the South Korean media. However, listening to South Korean music and watching South Korean dramas were strictly prohibited by a law created in 2015. A person can be sentenced 10 years of hard labor for coming in contact with the restricted content.

Netizens expressed amazement at the dedication of EXO fans in North Korea. A comment stated, "It's amazing enough that they're on social media in North Korea but it's more surprising how there are fans of EXO."

It is funny how the mainstream media loves to keep pushing  lies about a country that does not kiss up to western Imperialism. Even if those North Koreans did tweet EXO, you know what's going to happen to them?  Absolutely nothing!   The mainstream media is not your best friend, and it is not designed to educate the masses.

If they did tweet about EXO, they would be publicly executed. You can get executed for watching SK or hollywood movies (according to North Korean refugees)

Sure, and I have a giraffe living in my closet.

Unless you're an actual North Korean defector, you have no clue what you're talking about. Spreading misinformation like that is honestly quite dangerous, how many foreigners go to NK and end up imprisoned for years at a time, including death? Stop misleading. There are plenty of videos you can see right on Youtube of actual North Korean defectors speaking about their experiences, and the horrors they've seen and gone through. Listening to K-pop in NK is dangerous.

I have seen some foreigners going to NK and come out alive (Dennis Rodman for example). What I don't get in most people's logic, how can they be afraid of North Korea, which they really have no clue about, when the true monster is the United States? Unlike North Korea, United States has more nuclear bombs which they already upgraded them. Unlike North Korea, United States bombed so many countries including North Korea. Unlike North Korea, United States has over 900 military bases around the world. I can go on and on. Even United States allies are no angels either.

and a kid who was dumb and went there, was released in coma and died. I'm not saying the US is sweet etc, but NK wow. In the US, a dumb foreigner who joked about putting a bomb in the train is banned from entering the country, but not jailed for one year, tortured, and sent back home to die. USA looks ugly, but NK looks abject.

allkpopellie Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Those must be the privileged kids imo, EXO is so popular, even in China where kpop is banned, the fans don't care and just go to Macau to cheer on them :), best fandom ever :)

Im more concern that they released information that there are NK people supporting a south korean band. The NK gov could use this data and try to find the person to punish them. Have they thought that releasing this data could kill or bring pain to people? If i were the reporter i would have excluded the data on NK.

I was wondering about that too.

Right this article is not worth someone else's life.

This reminded me of the incident where some North Korean Armys voted for bts through twitter for the bbma. I was quite surprised with those fans bravery. I hope these diehard fans don't get caught and punished.

i'm actually surprised they have internet connection

yutakunnn Tuesday, July 11, 2017

oh my god. I'm sooo glad that I'm not living in NK. I can freely do whatever I want in my country. I can't imagine how miserable for the young people to live there.

RainingStarlight Tuesday, July 11, 2017

EXOL's are SPIES!!!!!

whatever101 Tuesday, July 11, 2017

idk why some of ya'll are calling NK EXO-Ls crazy, just as a woman in some countries would secretly study a subject because she loves learning despite the consequences if caught, these fans are simply passionate about a group that takes them into another world away from their boring and possibly miserable lives. HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR VER OF SNSD????
