Former SECRET member Sunhwa is under fire for wearing a white dress to a wedding.

On May 14, actor Ahn Se Ha, who you might recognize from dramas 'Moonlight Drawn by Clouds', 'She Was Pretty', and 'Yong Pal', held his wedding ceremony in Seoul. Many celebrities including Hyun Bin, Yoo Ji Tae, Jo Seung Woo, WheesungKahi, and Sunhwa attended the event.

Following the wedding, Sunhwa shared photos on her Instagram with a congratulatory message for Ahn Se Ha. Unfortunately, her sweet post was turned into a topic of controversy.

In South Korea, wearing white to a wedding is considered unmannerly as the color overlaps with the bride's dress. Netizens pointed out how Sunhwa wore an all-white dress to the event and criticized her for her rudeness.

Comments stated, "You're not supposed to wear white to a wedding", "Isn't it common sense to not wear white to a wedding?", "Hul, a white one-piece dress...", "Does she hate the bride or something lol", "That is so rude."

Sunhwa ultimately deleted the Instagram post as it became controversial. However, netizens are continuing to leave negative comments about her outfit on various online communities.

If she wore a white shirt or a white skirt but with everything else of another color i think they wouldn't have said anything but a full white dress ? either she is dumb or she did it or purpose because it was obvious that there would be criticism. Imo she was clearly trying to grab attention so yeah it's rude towards the bride.

This is stupid only because I've seen tons of other celebrities wear white to a wedding. Though common faux pas in Western countries, I didn't know that that was also against Korean traditions since it happens often. Look at the red carpet of Hee Jun's wedding. There were 2 or 3 women celebs wearing white. They didn't get crap for it.

WTF with this ppl.. just shut up, not her fans but she can wear what she wants.. the bride still the bride even though all the guest is wearing white..

With all the weddings I have gone to, I've seen many guests wear white and the bride seems to have to problem whatsoever. However, it may be culturally or traditionally looked down upon so I cannot judge.

.Sunhwa.. girl... I was about to stick up for you but... It's a common thing to know that you can't wear white at a wedding.. It be different if they was going for a non traditional type of wedding where that bride is wearing a different color dress but this wasn't the time... Did anyone tell her before she walk out the door? No one stopped her from posting that either... Girl I can't save you..

I personally find it very rude to be wearing white to someone else's wedding, like you couldn't have picked a different color? But seriously, some of these knet comments chill. I remember this girl at my friend's wedding who wore a white body fitting dress that was super revealing on the chest, and I think more people talked about her than the wedding itself. White is a no no!

She's dumb or she wants attention, maybe both.

Wearing white to a wedding is also rude in Spain. It's the bride's colour and you shouldn't wear white or even beige. I understand why people are shocked at her lack of common sense, but they're just making it to big. It's not cool she wore that dress but leave her alona already

White dress = Rude (? WTF

sweetmacaroons exocool Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Well a wedding is a time where you stand out the most.. It's like a tradition not to wear white for a wedding... Even if that dress is hideous, it stills steals the bride thunder...

sweetmacaroons Tuesday, May 16, 2017

But... A dress is a dress... Shit that bride isn't gonna be the only one that is slaying the party.. Nope I'm not gonna look like a potato

exocool sweetmacaroons Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Yes thats right, but "rude" it's too much I think...

sweetmacaroons exocool Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Many people have different feelings when it comes to this topic... All I care about is the couple being finally married... Some people take it way overboard since they want people to suffer

exocool sweetmacaroons Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Yes... it's depends on the culture

vincentrob11 Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Who knows? Maybe she was allowed to wear white.
