When fans expressed their confusion after DR Music announced their intentions to carry out auditions in New York for new members of BP Rania, the label decided to issue an official statement in order to help clarify any misunderstandings.

The label's official statement is as follows:

"Hello A1ST, here is an official announcement about the audition. It seems that some of our fans do misunderstand the concept of this audition. This announcement is for clarification.

When our company first planned to form a group Rania, our goal was to conquer international market. Therefore, we have been looking for talented people who would be willing to practice hard, willing to make their dreams come true no matter what. Recently, there are surprisingly many people who have sent applications to our company to make their dreams come true as a K-pop artist so that we recognized that there are many talented people out side of Korea that we must meet. However, because of the circumstance we are facing, we wouldn't be able put our best effort to each of these people. So we decided to outsource some organizations and human resources outside the company. One of them is Born Star NewYork which is located in New York. Danny who is an important member of this organization used to work for DR Music as a producer will help us for the audition. We are planning to recruit 3-4 people from the audition. After this audition, the trainees will be trained for certain period of time learning language, dance, vocal skills etc. Hopefully in near future, they will become members of BP Rania W promoting together with the members.

Guys, we will see you in New York on May 27th at 6pm. Thank you."

Did that clarify your confusion about the label's upcoming auditions?

6 out of 7 from original lineup have left. Joy left in 2012 for a Thai Girl Group, Riko left in 2014 and I haven't hear about her since, Jooyi debuted solo last year while Di, T-ae and Xia formed a trio under a new label. Saem left but rejoined the second generation and goes by Yina now.

Four years later and they're STILL going to try to keep this corpse of a group going?? DR, it's not like they were ever that famous that grasping onto the RaNia name even makes sense. Start a new group for goodness sake!

BakaKaori Saturday, May 13, 2017

I think at this point it'd be best to just form a new group, rather than constantly adding/switching in members.

TBH this "clarification" didn't clarify shit. In fact I'm even MORE confused than I was before. The line up right now is perfect, can they stop messing with it? Take the audition members and form a new group. That would make so much more sense.

"Year 2035, DR Music to debut BP Rania ABCDEFG" They are gonna drag this Rania name till the end of time. And its interesting that they want to "conquer" the international market when they can't even handle the domestic. I guess they're going off books on this one, usually groups hustle the domestic market first, then branch out, that way they have a strong base.

Well, RaNia always had alot of foreign fans but ever since Demonstrate, the international fans make up more than half of the fandom (Thailand, Brazil, USA and EU are the biggest). A European (Spain based) distributing label is now working to sign the group and has been speaking to foreign fans in place of the company. In fact, they went and got the album available on platforms for us (Spotify, Google Play, Itunes, ect.) where they did MUCH better than in the Korean market (they flopped, hard). The european label plans on having them perform overseas, re-record old singles and possibly film a vareity show of sorts. Thats something none of the other big labels were doing - they never had their acts signed to a foreign label handling their foreign affairs, they did it themselves. So we'll see how this plays out.

rania are done for it's so obvious, dr music need to let go. it's just getting ridiculous now. also, all the international people are applying bc dr music is the only one stupid enough to take them on and get absolutely nothing out of it.

JessicaRabbit123 Saturday, May 13, 2017

I wonder if they're going to bother explaining what BP RaNia W is. A sub unit with some of the BP members? A unit with ONLY the new members? BP RaNia is already going global and are signing with Ingeniomedia later this month/June, what exactly is the point of a new unit?

Bule_Ciel Saturday, May 13, 2017

Unstable, You've already got one American Member but you can't even make her stay in the group she is always going back and forth, and Saem has left Rania again I've heard and so has the 3 others sadly.

JessicaRabbit123 Bule_Ciel Saturday, May 13, 2017

Thats because Alex is signed to another label - Def Jams and has other obligations she needs to attend to time to time. Right now, she's working with a producer in the States making music for RaNia. As for Yina, she is doing something related to a drama she had filmed - I think its Chinese though. None of the 2nd generation members have left the group though so I'm not sure what 3 you're referring to (Maybe Di, T-ae and Xia but they left in March 2016).
