Lovelyz' Ryu Soo Jung is the next (and last) female idol to sit down for her teaser interview for 'Idol Drama Operation Team'.

The Lovelyz member talked about not having a cell phone because Lovelyz hadn't gotten to #1 on a music show yet, and also about Lovelyz not yet making any profit.

It didn't help that their last track was their weakest.

are people forgetting that they have to pay their trainee debts? once that's done, they'll be earning money. it's sad, i know, but it's not impossible. i do feel sorry for them, they're not getting the attention they deserve but they aren't unknown.

elchapo Sunday, April 16, 2017

Lovelyz dont make any money period. Should disband.

hiroonakamura Sunday, April 16, 2017

let's face it, the only reason idols arent allowed to have cellphones is so the company can have power over them and make the idols feel reliant on the labels.

hiroonakamura Sunday, April 16, 2017

and yes, i know that in lovelyz case their label wanted to give them phones but they turned down the offer.... but i am talking about the idol world in general.

Winston hiroonakamura Monday, April 17, 2017

Not necessary, having smartphones in the early stages also cause idols to spend more time with it, playing games, or Kakao Talk and SNS etc, when they should be busy with schedules, and they may also end up reading all the hate and bad comments and feel discouraged by it. i think its okay to not allow handphones for the 1st year or 2nd, but after the 2nd year, i think its fine.

hiroonakamura Winston Monday, April 17, 2017

they could just give them phones that are not smartphones. PLaying games and SNS wont work but they can still keep contact with family and such

Winston hiroonakamura Tuesday, April 18, 2017

Could but frankly they DO keep in touch with family and such, using their manager phone and their manager follows them around mostly all day anyway, so i dun see the issue here. the problem is whether they have the time even to talk on the phones when moving from schedule to schedule.

I've no doubt that Woolim is a company that looks after its artists well, but it's not Lovelyz fault they haven't gotten #1. After all, they probably have a say in like 1% of the decisions regarding their group.

Cutie888 Sunday, April 16, 2017

Hopefully their company will give them better songs

Winston Cutie888 Sunday, April 16, 2017

They have been using the same composer, One Piece led by Yoon Sang since debut, i think they should consider changing a composer. even TWICE who had 3 hit songs by Black Eyed Pilseung, for Like Ooh Ahh, Cheer up and TT also changed composer for Knock Knock, recently Ryan seems to be doing well giving Gfriend "fingertips" and Girls Day "I'll Be yours", maybe Woolmi can try look for a song from him, thought his fees may be expensive.

Cutie888 Winston Sunday, April 16, 2017

Oh yeah it might be a little expensive, or they can try something a little new, maybe taking a little risk here and there

Winston Cutie888 Sunday, April 16, 2017

Well making a album isnt really cheap, recording it, buying the song, filming the MV and shooting the album cover and such, if the album dun do well, (example rank only 30+ or 40+ on the charts), then its going to waste money for the agency and if they "charge" the loss to the member's account, it is only going to get -ve instead of going +ve. so i dun think they should take a risk, because if there is 2 failed album/s, i only fear for the group's future. Just as how we dun see some groups anymore, (like BESTie, Taihiti, etc they are just like "disappeared" from the music scene, without officially disbanding)

Cutie888 Winston Sunday, April 16, 2017

Hmm good point

smokeee Saturday, April 15, 2017

why does it seem like everyones wearing glasses now?  is that the new fad?

Winston smokeee Sunday, April 16, 2017

Her photo above looked like Sejung to me.

[I'm sure some might be offended by this] I really want to watch it, because the description so far is giving me the feel of the first season of Unnies. Not the same format, but more heart and emotions.

PixelRainbow Saturday, April 15, 2017

That's so sad. As much as I love k-pop I hate the way they're treated - I can imagine it's such a lonely life being an idol

penguinknight93 PixelRainbow Saturday, April 15, 2017

regarding the phone situation, it was an agreement between the members not the company's. the company actually gave them permission but the members are sticking to their commitment.
