When asked about how he spends his leisure time, the actor commented, "Since I don't get to see my family as much when I work, I usually spend time with them on my days off."
Onto his ideal type of woman, Kim Nam Gil mentioned, "I don't really care much for appearances nowadays. It's all about the heart."
