SM Entertainment's solo singer J-Min has returned with a surprise single titled "Alive"!

"Alive" was released officially on March 20 at midnight KST and SM shared a "prologue" for the song on their official YouTube account. The track is an impressive acoustic ballad with a mixture of piano and string sounds.

Check out her beautiful voice above!

I was really impressed by "ready for your love" single last year ("song on my guitar" is also good). She has a beautiful voice. This song also sounds so beautiful. And the mv already looks so perfect. Can't wait.

J-min releasing this song to remind SM she's alive.

Winston Ruby_Kang Sunday, March 19, 2017

Wrong, she cant be releasing it if SM didnt even allow it, and thats assuming Alive is written by her.

Hahah I know, this was actually my bad attempt at a pun/joke, wasn't meant to be taken seriously!

Sm finally realized she was still in their company. SM was trying to think of some weird concept again, but then they realized that they forgot about J-min.

She debuted like a month or so after snsd so SM probable forgot about her to focus on them Feels Bad Man

FINALLY GIRL!!!

RyoKim Sunday, March 19, 2017

She mostly promoting on Japan, her korean album begin with "Shine" in 2014. She also contributed for some OST korean drama. I'm impressed for the first time with "Stand Up" (To The Beautiful of You OST). Sadly SM not so good promoting solo singer or band.

kentv RyoKim Sunday, March 19, 2017

I think part of the problem is that her primary genre is rock and rock is not as popular in Korea as it is some other places like Japan, so financially SM promotes her more in Japan than Korea as there is more potential to make money with her kind of music.

RyoKim kentv Sunday, March 19, 2017

Yeah that's true, even CNBLUE infuse their song with dance beat since 2014.

At least Nell has managed to do okay in the rock format. They're really good.
