BTS has signed with Def Jam Records in Japan!

Def Jam Records is a record label owned by Universal Music Group. The American branch in the United States holds artists such as Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea, Alesso, and more.

BTS used to be under Pony Records in Japan but they have signed the contract with the Japanese branch of Def Jam. Big Hit Entertainment will still be managing the group's promotions, however, their activities in Japan will be handled by Def Jam Records.

The partnership between BTS and Def Jam Records in Japan is expected to have a great impact in expanding and furthering their Japanese promotions.

Faisel Durrani, the General Manager/EVP at Def Jam Records stated, "We are thrilled to welcome BTS to the Def Jam family. It's remarkable how they have established a strong career in such a short period of time, and we wish them more successes in the years to come."

BTS will release their first single under Def Jam in Japan, "Blood Sweat & Tears (Japanese version)" on May 10.

I thought Pony Canyon did enough for them with Japanese promotions (as a Japanese ARMY). So..... Why did they change labels?

Kanye West... BIEBER???  It's about time Def Jam records signs a decent artist. :D  Super congratz, BTS!!!  Show the world what REAL music is and what decent celebrities are.  The world needs to recognize more good people like you.

For a second, I thought that they were signed to DJ in America, but then I realized that these boys--except for Namjoon--don't know an ounce of English. I'm super proud of them, however, for making it in Japan. I hope this also calls for some world-wide success/recognition!
