Seohyun revealed that she was envious of fellow Girls' Generation members' solo promotions.
On the February 1 airing of 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon', Seohyun joined as the guest and talked about her first solo album 'Don't Say No'. She said, "I've never thought of a solo album because I was busy with promotions for Girls' Generation, but Lee Soo Man seonsaengnim made the offer first."

Seohyun continued, "I was always quite envious of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Hyoyeon unnies solo promotions. They seemed happy, and I wanted to do it too." She added, "I learned a lot from watching their performances."
The Girls' Generation maknae's solo track "Don't Say No" ended up topping music charts.
