It's been revealed that Minzy had planned on releasing her first solo album some time last December, but after confirming her appearance on the variety show, she ultimately decided to focus on one thing at a time, pushing back her work on her music to later this April or May.

Industry reports say that Minzy's new beginning as a member of 'Unnies' Slam Dunk 2' may prove to be a turning point for her career. Meanwhile, having collected potential songs since last summer, Minzy is raising curiosity about her solo musical direction.

April or May will be here before you know it!

Well I think I'm kinda understands this kind of marketing strategy. Anyways, I'd still be rooting for you Minzy. I think all you have to do is to prove yourself and show us some better version of a new you. Fighting!

Looking forward to when her album finally arrives. <3 (If it comes out before CL's I will laugh my ass off, in an angry way, of course.)

Hilarious. She quit YG because of delays, when she's fine delaying herself.

At least she has the common sense to not release an album as a forgotten nobody.

Like her management will do something for her if she stayed.

Isnt it usually better to release songs then go on variety to get more exposure for the song? :/ Like if it was meant to be in Dec, thats >1mth b4 Unnies started broadcasting.. '_'

She's not the 'Beyonce' of 2ne1 so if she releases music now, it will probably not sell well. She needs a boost of a variety show for people to get acquainted with her new image.

So she was meant to release her solo in Dec. but still wanted to be on 2ne1s goodbye song in Jan?? ok then.. :/

i am really curious about the concept she is going to follow! also i think this is a good idea, doing this before her solo debut. This way she will get more exposure and try to get back into the game after being absent for 3 years or so ... Minzy fighting :)

Wow, a lot of people would jump at the chance to debut solo first, but I admire her commitment to putting her whole heart towards Unnie's Slam Dunk. Loved the first season and eagerly awaiting the second :)

That's actually the way to do it. This new team she has is clearly rooting for her and doing their best to get her the best exposure, public respect, and rise her solo career from there. Nice to see she's moved to a label that actually cares about her self development now. All the best darl!

well that's a good desicion, she probably is going to have more fans after unnies

sounds like a last ditch effort to prevent a complete flop debut because she knows she's irrelevant.
