Super Junior Kyuhyun's manager closed his Instagram account.

Recently, a fire at a hotel in Taipei angered ELFs as Kyuhyun was left alone in the building while the staff members evacuated. During the evacuation, the staff member drank coffee at 'Starbucks' and even updated their Instagram accounts. Their "careless" actions led to fury.

As the criticism against the staff arose, Kyuhyun spoke up in defense. However, the staff members continued to receive criticism from his fans. Some fans took their anger out on the staffs' personal SNS accounts. Ultimately, Kyuhyun's manager with the Instagram ID virtus_of_dragon shut down his account.

According to netizens, the last post the manager 'liked' before deactivating his account was a post with the statement, "I'm extremely mad but I'll hold back."

Do you think the staff members deserve harsh criticism?

Why Had kyuhyun to clarified but not manager who admit he does not do his job properly. Do you think its make sense kyu will stay in the room during the fire?why nobody tell kyuhyun to evacuate instead telling him that the fire was extinguish nothing to worry about. do you think Kyu will be slip in the room if he know HE IS IN A DANGER SITUATION?

YukinoYuki Monday, February 27, 2017

So i closed this tab, cuz i did not want to get involved in this, but then the comments stating that kyuhyun chose to remain in the BURNING building, brought me back. First of all, he got out, so there really is no need to blame people, unless its to make sure something like that does not happen again. second, how does it make sense, for him to choose to remain in the burning building? he was probably forgotten, and to cool things down, he was told to say so, if in  fact he did. anyway, this is my rant, sure, the staff should have made sure everyone was out, before posting shit about firetruck and nct, but disaster averted, so lets chill?

Tomochi Monday, February 27, 2017

I think what made the situation worst is the staff posting pictures with quite disrespectful hashtags specifically at that current situation when they knew Kyuhyun was still burning building #firetruck #nct it honestly wasn't the best timing to post that shit

aznjen96 Monday, February 27, 2017

There seriously dosent always need to be someone to blame. I dont understand why people always have to find a specific person at fault.

anindya16 Monday, February 27, 2017

People are still mad because kyu's statement at twitter is different from the first one when he apologized to fans at his concert...  I read somewhere that he said he was sleeping when fires brokes up and woke up to his room full of smoke and already missed the timing to evacuate so he stays put....  That is why kyu's tweet just smells like cover up to subdue fans anger... It did smells like cover up to me but who know the truth   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just want to bring another perspective to allkpop comments~

Preach! I think at this point, we as fans (definitely a considerable amount) of KPop idols have increased skepticism over their management team because of numerous reports of abuse and mishandling of our idols. Going back to Kyu, I guess we'll never know if his tweet was just to do 'damage control' or not. As an ELF, I'm just thankful that he's safe.

bangeryun94 anindya16 Monday, February 27, 2017

Regardless of what it "sounds like" Kyuhyun said they weren't at fault. Basically his fans just told him fick you, you are lying and we're going to crucify anyone we can get our hands on. I've never understood how when an artist tells his fans to STOP they ignore him and get even worse.

michinpabo Monday, February 27, 2017

The peanut gallery needs to learn how to let things go. If all parties involved are cool with what happened then who are you getting angry for? You think Kyuhyun will love you more by acting this way?

unscrewedhorses Monday, February 27, 2017

Sounds to me like everyone involved kind of shares the blame for this one, Kyuhyun included.

krell Monday, February 27, 2017

KYUHYUN has stated that it was *his preference* to remain in his room. So, to me, this puts any 'blame' such as their might be, on KYUHYUN *more* due to that fact. Plus, a *lot* of people are 'upset' over a situation where they were actually NOT PRESENT to be able to accurately access the true situation. And, the HOTEL would tend to 'error' on the side of CAUTION ; in terms of ordering an evacuation. Okay, they do NOT do it for a 'Grease Fire' in the kitchen. But, anything NOT USUAL, then you *tend* to 'play it' VERY SAFE (so evacuate). Maybe ELFs are getting a bit 'over-the-top' on this. Although, it does give ELFs a chance to 'compete' about which of them is *most concerned* about the situation. Nobody is dead ; time to let this 'fade away' quickly, as I see it ... Plus you WONDER how often that MANAGERS do actually INSIST that SJ Members WEAR SEAT BELTS in MOVING VANS at *all* times?

If I remember the timeline right... he closed it soon after the concert before Kyuhyun could even say anything about what happened. Even with Kyuhyun's decision to stay inside, it was s the bad call of the manager to agree to it and then leave outside and have fun in the middle of putting down a fire with hashtags like #NCT #Firetruck #MeetingVictimsofFire and other stuff. He managed the situation poorly so he deserves to be reprimended. Now i do not know what fans say to him cause I do not follow staff on SNS but... He did Do his JOB wrong.  He made a bad call. One that could have endangered all those that stayed inside. He made a mistake as well so I am not sure why he is the manager angry at people (unless they sent him death wishes. That would be really uncalled for)He made a mistake and Kyuhyun making a bad call as well does not suddenly get the manager of the hook. Poor judgements and decisions on the managers side is what the fans are upset about and they are right to be. Kyuhyun's tweet only added Kyuhyun to the list of people that were irresponsible  alongside the manager, the hotel staff, other staff

What is the manager supposed to do? Stay in a building that is on fire until Kyuhyun finally agrees to leave? Kyuhyun isn't 12, he needs no babysitter, and people shouldn't even have to tell him to leave a building that is on fire while other guests are being evacuated because it's freaking common sense. Secondly, the manager's life is just as important and his health comes before his work. If Kyuhyun chose to stay then it's his own responsibility, but you can't blame the manager for wanting out because well the building was on damn fire.

myreflections seungriseyo Monday, February 27, 2017

The manager should have insisted on all people evacuated. Since this is about a situation after the fire broke and it was being put down not IN the middle of the fire. He should have book some rooms in a nearby hotel. If the idol tells their manager they are going to jump off the building the manager is not supposed to be all: cool. I'll be at Starbucks. He should have put the foot down, book rooms somewhere else. Even without that... putting silly hashtags during a dangerous situation is not exactly a brilliant idea. If not even that.. then once the fire was cleared and only the smoke remained, again, realocate the staff and Kyuhyun to another hotel once the fire was put down. There were bad calls. If Kyuhyun could not be persuaded in any way to leave, he could have just told the fans asking him about Kyuhyun that the idol refused to evacuate and yet he didn't.

myreflections Monday, February 27, 2017

According to the full explanation.. they were preparing the concert when the fire broke and once it was down Kyuhyun stayed in the room in the smoke. This is not about staying in the fire, this is about not putting the foot down and setting rooms somewhere else( safe) for everyone once the fire was down and only the smoke remained. NO one would choose to stay in a building on Fire. Kyuhyun stayed in a place riddled with smoke. What happens with strategic management, danger appraisal, decision making?. Not to mention that it is hard to believe that a person who can decide schedules, accomodation, plan activities etc does not have the managerial power to override an idols decision in a dangerous situation. In dangerous situations, the manager is the boss and not the idol. And not to mention that Kyuhyun was never the type to go against orders or discard a manager's decision which , personally, makes me think there was not even a proper conversation on the matter accompanied by strategic thinking and damage control. What are we talking about here? The manager is not the dude that takes care of concert audio or does Kyuhyun's makeup. He is the one that plans, controls and makes sure idols do what they are supposed to.

myreflections Monday, February 27, 2017

In case TLDR: the manager should have put his foot down during the putting down of fire and afterwards since he has that power while putting together and executing a plan in the best interest of everyone. Or at least, if that is not possible, not spend the time having fun but thinking of solutions for after the event for the optimal result.

myreflections seungriseyo Monday, February 27, 2017

to be honest, it does not even matter if this was about during the fire or after the fire. The manager makes the final call and with just simply thinking about aftermaths, he had the power to overrule whatever Kyuhyun said in a dangerous situation. Or once the fire was down and the smoke got less, insist once again on the idol leaving the hotel. I simply, personally, find it hard to believe than an idol that many times does not even get to choose what to eat can ignore an order from a manager to evacuate a hotel where a fire started. (I am talking in general about idols and managers) I am not even sure I want to believe than an idol can refuse a manger order in a situation like this because if an idol could in a situation like this, then would that idol even listen to the manager on a day to day basis for normal things? A manager really does not have this authority in a dangerous situation? I just can't believe it.
