Rapper San E made a guest appearance on the January 26 installment of SBS' 'Cultwo Show' where he talked about the hardships in his singing career.

The rapper talked about his new album, "I had some trials last year, so I decided to title it 'Season Of Suffering', and added, "I included the challenges that I had overcome."  Then he commented, "However I am experiencing hardships still."

The DJ asked, "Why do you still have hardship?"  San E replied, "My song rankings / digital sales aren't so great these days."

Meanwhile, a listener called in and was interested in San E's album saying, "I like the other songs more than the title songs."

His sales might not be where he wants them to be but he is well known. This is a case of counting your blessings instead of focusing on what you don't have.

He's one of the acknowledge and respected rappers in Korea, so he should keep his head up and live his dreams.

kurosoke18 Thursday, January 26, 2017

It's hard to be a musician in Korea because there are so many competition and not enough people to sustain. Also, the fandom culture is really harsh for solo artists. Only the top 10 Girl group or Boy group can be considered profitable. The rest are just fighting for scraps :(

Which sucks because the big3 have the resources to mass produce groups, some flop some won't I doubt they care. They make money. I think that's why it's a really big deal when groups from small companies get huge

I think the big problem is the over saturation of kpop artists in Korea. Even the big 3 companies are aware of this issue which is why we see them focus promoting more on Japan and other countries. I heard that kpop music isn't even that popular among Koreans anymore. Only grade school and highschoolers support that kind music. Majority of the population couldn't care less about the music playing in the background.

how many comebacks does he make? If very few, then there is little room for him to be complaining.

mike2427 Thursday, January 26, 2017

No offense but you start to loose peoples interest when you're the guy who will collab with anyone. He needs to stop collabing with so many different people or being a feature.

I only know him because he does collaborations with other people. I noticed how his songs are not as good as the ones that he does with other.. Just my opinion.

He used to be doing well with his duet song with Raina back then. i think now the names i hear so much of these days are BeWhy and Crush.

everyone is struggling bro

safaa20 Thursday, January 26, 2017

I am sorry for saying this, but I don't think I can feel sorry for him because he had a good share of success and yes his music now doesn't make a lot of money, but he still can make money from other things. And that is much better from other talented artists who are till now they are unknown and they are struggling to make their music known

Anythingyg Thursday, January 26, 2017

Alastair Anythingyg Thursday, January 26, 2017

Black folks, black culture, females

trboo Thursday, January 26, 2017

It hard to feel completely sorry for him. He's had more success than a lot of aspiring and struggling artists dream about. Yet, they bear it and continue to work hard. It is better to have had years of success, promotions, and money rather than to not have had it at all.
