Middle school hits most people hard, but when you're an idol, your puberty struggles are out in the open for all to see! Korean netizens are wondering what the heck happened to ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo during his middle school years with recently surfaced photos.

But when Cha Eun Woo was in middle school, in his own words, he was "tanned and chubby."
Some netizens suspected plastic surgery, but fans quickly came to defend the idol with other childhood photos.
Big eyes. Pale skin. Looks the same as he does now (minus the prince outfit, which hopefully he will wear once again one day).

Netizens, mostly amused, commented, "He looks older in middle school than now," "Looks like he played a lot of soccer outside," and, "He turned from an ajusshi to an idol..not sure how, but I'm glad."
