iKON fans are expressing their concern and anger towards a female fan who went a bit overboard with her excitement.

The following GIF is being shared on many Korean online communities as an example of how male idols being harassed by female fans is not taken seriously enough.

In the GIF, iKON member Song Yun Hyeong is taking a selfie with a fan at an event. Everything is fine until the fan suddenly kisses the singer on the cheek. Song Yun Hyeong steps to the right momentarily but comes back to finish taking the selfie. It might seem innocent enough but fans are worried about the double standards, as a male fan suddenly kissing a female idol would cause outrage.

Here are some of the fans' comments:

"If this was a female idol and a male fan, the male fan would get arrested."

"Isn't it sexual harassment if the person feels offended???"

"He must have felt offended...He couldn't even curse her out in front of the people."

"That's so rude...She's a 'fan' but she's also just a stranger to him."

"Someone should've dragged her down after she kissed him. Why isn't there a manager or something?"

What do you think? Was the fan in the wrong or was she just too excited to meet her idol and it was no big deal?

Ok i don't understand law in korea so i don't know which action is right or wrong but i don't what that fan did was right. She didn't even ask permission and doesn't think about yunhyeong's opinion beforehand. Fans like her are just too much for ikonics and other fanclub(if similar thing happen to other idol) to handle

Fans seriously don't understand the concept of CONSENT. Props for him in recovering quickly tho. She's reckless as heck too, can't expect to get away from this unscathed (especially from sasaengs).

fan service got its limit, but some just dont get it and cross the line ... and for whatever it is, its need got the punishment ... its only my personal opinionbecause think, if thats happen with you in your work environment you will call your hr right away and make a complaint of sexual harassment  when you dont give permission for that actionso whats the different with idol (whether is male or female), its just the idol and artist management want to avoid the scandal or law suit

I mean, bashing her like this is wrong but what she did is also wrong too. You can't just kiss an idol like that, they might feel really uncomfortable.

JustaPerson Saturday, November 5, 2016

So when the idol does it to a fan on stage for fan service, you gotta drag the idol down the stage too right? It's just a kiss on a cheek for a picture. Calm. The fuck. Down. Jesus Christ. It's not that serious.

question, when has an idol done this to a fan? I'm genuinely curious if this has happened before without the knowledge and consent of the fan. Cause that's rude as heck.

nctu_127 JustaPerson Sunday, November 6, 2016

its sexual harassment. and like the comment above stated, im pretty sure they get consent if ever they do something like that which is rare in general.
