Gong Myung was asked if his brother also watched his drama. He answered, "Because he's so busy with practice, he wasn't able to watch it until recently. I asked him how it was and he said it was good." Gong Myung, a bit disappointed that his brother didn't keep up with all the episodes, jokingly added, "I looked out for him and watched his first debut stage on 'Show! Champion', but I'm not going to anymore..."

In 'Drinking Alone', Gong Myung and actor Ha Suk Jin played brothers who love the same girl. When asked what he'd do if such a situation happened in real life, Gong Myung said, "I think I'd give up. Jin Gong Myung (the character in the drama) took awhile to let go, but I think I'd choose my brother [in real life]."
