On the October 26 installment of 'MV Bank Stardust,' 24K and other idols were interviewed on their way to a music show. One of the segments was a game to see the group's teamwork. The show host, a comedian named Seung Hye, would say a word and the idols would do a gesture to see if all the members would do the same one.

For the 24K members, the word was 'oh jing uh' (squid, also a slang to call someone ugly), and when it was time for a gesture, one of the members pointed to Seung Hye, indicating that she was the squid. When the comedian protested, the 24K member explains that it's because she is slender like a squid and the situation seemed to have been resolved.

However, many people who watched the show are angry, saying that they were rude to call someone ugly. Here are some of the netizen comments:

"That's so rude...Plus Seung Hye is really pretty."

"They seem to look down on her because she is a comedian...That's very impolite."

"I know knew their group name...Now I don't want to know anything more about them. Doesn't matter whether they're friends with her, I think it's the worst to put someone down for their looks."

"Seung Hye is a sunbae. She actually debuted as an SBS comedian 10 years ago, and she even debuted as a singer."

"What's funny about this...? This would be offensive even amongst friends."

What do you think? Was it just an innocent joke or did they cross the line? Watch the clip above starting from the 6:23 mark.

Those boys need their eyes checked. Just look at her during KBS Entertainment Award when she dressed up. Seung Hye beauty glows.

If he want to be funny, he should point one of his member though. At least don't point it to any women. It called manners. Whatever the meaning are..

Ok, netizens are definitely hypocrites. Buuuuut I have to say, it seems like that was kind of crossing the line between funny and insulting. But then again I'm not Korean, so I can't claim to know the nuances of the situation. Gah, I don't know. Bottom line, calling a woman ugly is bad, don't do it, kids. 💫

As if netizens don't call people ugly and unattractive every fucking single time. Looks are always criticized first by them and now they are bashing this group? Although that was a rude thing to say but then maybe they are friends? Idk..

That's just internet trolling/internet warriors. This is a little different.

Dude- My point is, Netizens are always this person is too fucking ugly, why the fuck are they a celbrity and all! But when someone says they are ugly (Even if it was as a joke) they'll be like noooo she's pretty and how can they call her ugly....

Zhulka Thursday, October 27, 2016

We don't know if they truly meant to call her ugly or if they actually meant that she looks slender like a squid. I don't like judging groups from a what netizens say because they always try to get the worst information out on groups. Although I am biased I would like to say that ive been with 24K since their debut and they truly are an amazing group who tries really hard to make their fans happy. Im happy that they explained why though and that the problem seemed to be resolved. I hope the comedian doesn't feel bad because of this and both sides get lots of love.

There's only one meaning in Korea when you call someone a squid and that's being called ugly.

joyyeri Thursday, October 27, 2016

This group obviously doesn't get the idea of having a good impression. Even if they're only trying to be funny, they shouldn't call someone ugly like this. I hope the comedian's feelings weren't hurt badly.

If... I don't know, some overrated Idol of a big company do this, no one react like a bunch of idiots.... if BTS or EXO do the same thing no one would say a shit about it.  Is Really a shame see how this society, and the people who want to be part of this, have a double speech, on one hand support superficiality and surgeries, and on the other hand criticize someone who made a joke of someone who you mocked, for not to be as pretty. Bunch of hypocrites.

Wiiam_Bh youngnation Thursday, October 27, 2016

YO YO DUDE- Did you forget that every group out there have anti-fans? Waiting for just an opportunity to bash the poor things and spread hate? If Exo, Bigbang or BTS did this, they'll get the same hate, the difference is that their wide fanbase will stand up for them.

Gallifreyan7 Thursday, October 27, 2016

Netizen are so funny. They are always making fun of idol and bash them as soon as someone got a little bit of surgery or gain/lose some weight and now they complain about that. Look at your actions first .

Mystica Thursday, October 27, 2016

Uhmm, is it the 1st time that netizens stand up for someone? anyways, I don't believe they wanted to stand up for her, either they hated this boy-group and wanted anything to make a rumor or an insult so they could hate on them, or this action wasn't pleasant in south-Korean society.

These are the same people that endorse/support eyelid surgeries, jaw adjustments and harsh dieting. The first ones to diss someone for gaining a little weight or losing a bit too much, yet want to get all upset when a comment like this is made. 🙄 Please stfu.
