On October 6, Jung Joon Young's recent police investigation drew to a close.

As previously reported, the singer's ex-girlfriend reported Jung Joon Young to the police, claiming she had been filmed during sex without consent. However, shortly after the news blew up on the media, the ex-girlfriend came forward multiple times to admit that Jung Joon Young was innocent, and her accusation was a mistake on her part.

The police have now announced that Jung Joon Young has been acquitted, and the investigation has been closed after interviewing the ex-girlfriend and coming to the conclusion that it was highly unlikely the singer took part in any filming against the ex-girlfriend's will.

Because the situation grew out of proportion so quickly, it seems like we won't be seeing Jung Joon Young on broadcasts for some time despite the fact that he has been proven innocent.

Damage already done. His name has been dragged through the mud. I really feel sorry for Korean celebrities.

he should sue the reporter that brought this shit up in the first place.

I think its the gf that should be in trouble. How can you make a police report to accuse someone of a crime and then all a sudden just simply retract the statement and said its not true. This is so ridiculous. She should be charged by the police. The reporters are not making things up, they are just reporting whatever they can.

But reporters also didn't give right information. She never used the word "hidden camera" or "sex video" in her report. The case was already over a month before reporter blew it up. Then they made up JJY's statement like he said "I thought she knew" when he never said such a thing.

Assuming what you said is right, it is still nothing compared to what the gf did. The gf is the cause of this whole thing and actually committed a crime by filing a false report. So the filming was not on sex? And if like the gf said, she was filmed without consent, of course it was a hidden camera. And does it matter if the case was over a month? Reporter can report anything they find newsworthy even if it was 10 years ago.

Yes journalists can report old solved case, but it's also their responsibility to report the truth, facts, not make up the details of the case for sensationa nd ruin other people's life. I'm not saying his ex didn't do anything wrong either because she accused him did something he never do out of anger after a break up. The fact that they weren't dating anymore when she reported him made it even worse. So all of them, his ex and journalists deserve punishment for destroying his life.

FFS - are broadcasting stations actually shunning him despite him being proven innocent? what dickheads!

JYJRainbow Thursday, October 6, 2016

damage-is-done

nonaeve Thursday, October 6, 2016

Does Korea not do the innocent till proven guilty thing? I mean it's really hard to not shame someone when speculations come out because sexual harassment is a heavy subject, but these reports should have NEVER come out until there was more concrete evidence against him... that's such a shame

ffsd Thursday, October 6, 2016

i think its more of guilty until proven innocent

styx ffsd Thursday, October 6, 2016

And even after proven innocent their reputation is done for. Mess up society.

Asians have a lemmings mentality. If everyone is doing it, so should you, like plastic surgery. It's not the US where no one gives a damn if you're a raging drug addict.

hexrealm ffsd Friday, October 7, 2016

How come no one is pointing finger at the ex-gf? She made a false report to the police, that is a crime. The reporters were just making a report on what happened, they don't need concrete evidence at all.
