The showcase for Kim Joo Na's debut single 'Summer Dream' took place on September 12, and of course the rookie singer was asked about her older half-brother, Kim Soo Hyun.
When asked about this, Kim Joo Na said, "Honestly, I believe this question could be an immensely heavy question to me. Firstly, what comes to mind when reports about my family come out is that my brother worked extremely hard alone to rise up to his status. He had a hard time rising up there, but I'm honestly a rookie and had not debuted at the time, so it was hard for me when those reports came out.
"Firstly, still, he is my brother. I really had a huge desire to become a younger sibling of whom my brother would not be ashamed. Additionally, I support my brother a lot and hope he keeps on pressing hard toward victory, so I would really like him to be successful."
When asked what image she wants to gain after debut, Kim Joo Na said, "I ended up coming out with the title 'solo artist Kim Joo Na,' right? I probably won't be able to take off the tag related to my brother, but I still want to work harder as the solo artist Kim Joo Na and become a singer who has good promotions; please look after me."
