Finally, the cast is confirmed for drama 'Illumination.' Previously there was confusion with Jin Goo confirming, the drama then saying no one was confirmed, and Lee Yo Won confirming.
Now, the drama finally revealed on September 21, that all three actors were indeed confirmed for the drama. Lee Yo Won will be playing Seo Yi Kyung, Jin Goo will be playing Park Gun Woo who loves Seo Yi Kyung, and UEE will be playing Lee Se Jin who wants to cast aside her poor background to become Seo Yi Kyung.

The finalized cast relayed their thoughts on joining the drama on this day. Lee Yo Won said, "I'm going to see you all again through yet another dignified production. There are many things I need to study because the content is not quite light, but rather than feeling burdened, I feel like it'll be fun; also, I am already looking forward to and excited about the character Seo Yi Kyung."
Jin Goo said, "I feel nostalgic that I get to meet you all again through a drama after deliberation. I think I'll be able to show a different charm through Park Gun Woo, so I have high expectations, of course. I will prepare and work hard to perfectly melt into the drama. I also feel very reassured because I get to work with talented director, writer, and junior-senior actors. I will repay the people who are waiting for the drama with a cool image and acting."
UEE said, "Because Se Jin is a character I never experienced before who is spirited with a poor background, I had a lot of worries about how to portray her. I'm learning a lot from the director, writer, and my seniors on how to express Se Jin, so I will do my best and show a good image. It's an honor to be able to act with Lee Yo Won and Jin Goo, both of whom I had always been fans of."
