[K-Drama Feature] Scenes that unintentionally border on sexual assault
Some Korean dramas are notorious for their 'romantic' content that border precariously on the edge of sexual assault. While a part of the viewing audience may indeed deem these scenes romantic or even "hot," and though they were not intended by the production team/writers, certain Korean drama scenes make you wonder if it's okay for the characters to be treated in such a demeaning, aggressive way.

We have compiled some of these questionable scenes that seem to border on sexual assault, so you can make the judgment for yourself by watching them in the list.

Personally, I think some culture thinks it is accept for man to come on very forcefully. I dont know why it is so. Must be a male chauvinist culture.

These were so uncomfortable to watch that I mostly skipped through them all. Especially Empire of Gold was problematic to me: not only sexual assault, abuse as well. Why is this seen as ok behavior? I don't understand

Kills a man, rips her clothes, slaps the shit out of her and then kisses her... such a gentleman!

in Oh My Ghostess, the character Soon Shin-Ae thought that her unfinished business as a wandering ghost was to go get laid so she went around possessing people in order to get laid.

Sweet_Milk_Tea Wednesday, August 24, 2016

not that i'm saying that's okay, but that was her characterization. She stopped trying to get laid with him later on when she learned that her unfinished business wasn't to get laid but because she had been murdered.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought about the closet kiss scene that way in Heirs.
