BamBam seems to have made an unofficial apology on Instagram for his previous behavior at a Los Angeles party. The GOT7 member was recorded using the N-word, a racial slur.

On July 12, BamBam posted the below video of his travels in the United States for GOT7's concert 'Fly in USA 1st Concert' as well as some leisure time he had. In the comments of the post, he made an unofficial apology to fans, writing, "I want to say I'm sorry for what I have done. And I know this is all my mistake. I don't want to stay quiet like this. I'll do something when I get back to Korea. I promise. I'm sorry for making a lot of you guys upset. This is all my fault. I'm sorry."

Just yesterday, a video clip of BamBam saying the N-word spread on the internet. Many fans and netizens were upset by his actions as well as the behavior of his fellow member Yugyeom, who was drinking underage.

What do you think of BamBam's unofficial apology and his usage of the N-word?

Papag3812 Sunday, July 17, 2016

He could have been saying Naega??Wouldn't it be racist if dark colored people thought someone said the "N" word when they were just saying a word in their language that sounds similar?

Keepinitkreal Papag3812 Saturday, July 23, 2016

Come here my naega? Come here my me...nah lmao

puellaris Papag3812 Thursday, March 16, 2017

"dark colored" oh my god

KpopCanadian Sunday, July 17, 2016

Why do people keep saying they were underage drinking as though it's fact? There's no proof of this. I especially need proof because Yugyeom's face gets red easily. And anyways, it's legal in California if done on private property with adult supervision so they broke no laws even if they drank.

dreamingstar2374 KpopCanadian Sunday, August 7, 2016

And even if they did drink underage. Oh please, people acting like they murdered someone. 99% of the people around me have done that, especially in the U.S.

dreamingstar2374 KpopCanadian Sunday, August 7, 2016

Not aimed at you ofc!

Is bambam really the one saying it? Their are alot of people trying to convince me its not him. They are saying he apologized only because if he said it was not him things would get worse. So can you reply "yes" if you think it was him or "no" if you think it was not. Also allkpop is shit for spreading this. They only have appears or they think its his voice. Get more evidence before you say shit.

LStoleMySoul Saturday, July 16, 2016

Just like if someone chooses not to be offended you cant be mad or try and push your frustrations and offense onto them. Should BamBam have said the word without at least knowing where it came from and its meaning? No. But as a black person if we are going to talk about the word and it's history then no one should be using it, black or not. People are dragging this deeper than what it is.

most_like Friday, July 15, 2016

boi, when you go back to korea, you'll be the 'nigga' of korea

priscillacho most_like Sunday, July 17, 2016

literally stfu.

literally gtfo

Cynthia0c256 Friday, July 15, 2016

I'm a black person and don't get offended one bit by other races using the word simply because we're in 2016 where rappers and celebrities have influenced the current generation to use this word at concerts, festivals etc. The boys were having a good time in USA and now are in shit because ppl are "offended"! Like shut up how many non blacks say the n word daily in USA? How many ppl drink underage on a daily in then USA?? They are Koreans and probably don't know what the word means tbh so...If your offended don't fucking support the group end off!! He doesn't owe no one an apology just like the millions of other ppl that use the word on a daily🙄🙄

micahxo_lu Cynthia0c256 Friday, July 15, 2016

You're just one person out of millions, you can't speak for every black person. If someone's offended by something then they are like?? You have to respect that, unless it's like something insane to be offended over. But I think that a word that derives from years of slavery and cultural disassociation is definitely something to be offended about, especially coming from the mouths of the descendants of the very people who enslaved your ancestors. He should apologize, the very fact that he used the term without knowing much about its past is also pretty offensive. Like ignorance is not an excuse. But I'll accept his apology, as it was definitely necessary to me. I just hope he learns from this mistake and I'll of course continue to support the little cutie.

takialien Cynthia0c256 Saturday, July 16, 2016

I'm mixed black and white and I think the same things. But I thinks its a good things to say apology. (sorry for my bad english,)

j_cruz micahxo_lu Monday, July 18, 2016

so first you told Cynthia that she can't speak for all people, then you say you feel it is definitely something to be offended about. So now you are trying to dictate your opinions on the situation but not allowing Cynthia to have her own opinion?Isn't that hypocritical?

micahxo_lu j_cruz Monday, July 18, 2016

Did I ever claim that my opinion spoke for the entire black community? No. I'm not being hypocritical, because I never contradicted myself. Cynthia can have their own opinion, they can think that someone who's not black should be able to say "nigga" without offending anyone. But to tell others that them being offended by that is not validated?? When we have a history of oppression and slavery and disassociation?? It's certainly validated, and just because one black person doesn't get offended by it, doesn't mean that others shouldn't. So try again, how was I hypocritical?

j_cruz micahxo_lu Tuesday, July 19, 2016

Nor did Cynthia say she was speaking for all black people. You jumped to that conclusion on your own and attacked her for it. I am just saying be consistent.

micahxo_lu j_cruz Tuesday, July 19, 2016

I am consistent, which is why I continue to say that Cynthia was trying to speak for every black person, mainly by starting their comment with "I'm black". That's the typical sign of "Oh I'm from this group of people and it's okay with me so you can do it". I know at least that much by now to pretty accurately infer that they were trying to speak for all black people.

Keepinitkreal Cynthia0c256 Saturday, July 23, 2016

You're just ignorant and misguided because as soon as a cop shouts at a black person "hands up nigger" "get out the car nigger" y'all ready to protest

jlofty22 micahxo_lu Sunday, July 24, 2016

Get over it! Jews were slaughtered and starved to death and they aren't up in arms! American Indians were slaughtered and tortured way before blavks and you don't hear them going on and on about it! I'm sick and tired of hearing "oh we were oppressed". Get over it! Other cultures have also been oppressed. Irish at one time in America were treated like dirt too! And if it's so damn important that nobody says the n-word, then ya'll shouldn't be saying it either. Double standards much?

micahxo_lu jlofty22 Sunday, July 24, 2016

Did you just tell me to get over oppression? And imply that because you can't hear their voices, the people of other oppressed groups aren't fighting? Lmao. I won't even bother with your ratta tootie ass. Don't comment on something that wasn't meant for you, especially when you aren't educated on it.

jlofty22 micahxo_lu Sunday, July 24, 2016

This is a comment section. If you didn't want anyone else to comment on it then you should not have written it! Not educated on it? I did learn about it in school and have some black friends so I have heard many a story from the older generation. So don't say stupid stuff when you don't know me! I'm telling you to forgive and forget. It's in the past and can not be changed. Does it make your life better to dwell on it? As for BamBam, he wasn't saying it maliciously and he apoligized for it.

jlofty22 Sunday, July 24, 2016

Also there was no reason to act like an ass and call me names like a five year old!

micahxo_lu jlofty22 Monday, July 25, 2016

You told me to get over oppression. Oppression that is currently still happening. Idc what your wet toilet paper ass says anymore, at this point it's about education. You obviously haven't been putting into practice what you learned, that is IF any of the knowledge ever got to your brain. If you couldn't stand being called names then you shouldn't have commented (: AND FORGIVE AND FORGET WTF???! Who tf forgives AND forgets. Forgiving takes strength, but forgetting is just stupid. Lmao, especially when you're telling me to forget the enslavement, rape, torture, dehumanization, mutilation, disassociation, abuse, oppression and murdering of my people. Listen. I'd like to see your ancestors have that history, to go through that and still see signs of it in today's society. Then I'd love to see you even attempt at forgiveness for something that isn't even over. Have you ever tried to forgive something that cruel?

Gamergod88 Friday, July 15, 2016

Anybody should apologize if they make a mistake, Idols are no different. I have more respect for people that own up to their mistakes than someone who keeps doing wrong and doesn't care.

Thath_Silva Friday, July 15, 2016

I feel sorry for him. I hope we can just move on

BTS_Hobiiee Friday, July 15, 2016
