Final ruling on former TRAX member Noh Min Woo's lawsuit against previous agency SM Entertainment has been announced.

Back in April of 2015, Noh Min Woo sued SM Entertainment for 'slave contract', and asked for a 100 million KRW (~$90,000 USD) compensation, claiming the agency purposely stopped support, and interfered with his promotions. However, SM Entertainment denied the claims, and declared to take legal action against Noh Min Woo's false accusations.

Then On July 20, SM Entertainment was ultimately found innocent of all charges as the court announced, "The evidences provided were not enough to prove that SM Entertainment has continuously interfered with Noh Min Woo's promotion or lacked support. There is no concrete proof."

As a result, the case closed with Noh Min Woo's loss.

Well, I never knew about this man even though I'm a SMstan... How is that not lack of promotion??

Itismoot Saturday, July 23, 2016

Just need to read everything before signing.

SM artists should think like SHINHWA... just do their time, and than leave the company... I think that is why they are able to still promote as SHINHWA...

Winston tubhnubqub3 Thursday, July 21, 2016

But i think Shinhwa now seems more like a project group to me, because they only get together once every say 2 years or more to have a comeback than its like okay we are done with promotions, lets go back to our own individual activites/career. and its as if their individual career or activites is their MAIN job and Shinhwa is just a once in a while reunion thing, to keep the name alive.

Shinhwa had a 5 years contract the waiting is an option but for EXO it's 10 years

I feel bad for him as I think he truly wanted to work and do his own things. However, I also think it'd be difficult to prove that SM intentionally interfered. What I hope the most from the case is that SM's eyes open and they treat their artists fairly, letting them work and rest on their conditions. But, I'm skeptical…

Winston cococcchanel Thursday, July 21, 2016

I think its difficult since even some parent treat their children unfairly, like giving more attention to the smarter kid or more handsome/pretty one, its hard to be fair to all, because its human nature to favor the popular and the big money makers, and TRAX isnt an example of a successful group in SM, compared to DBSK, SJ, SNSD, Shinee and the likes. Even J-min who is still in SM is also like not getting enough attention i feel.

cococcchanel Winston Friday, July 22, 2016

True, very true and I agree.

GDYBMINO Thursday, July 21, 2016

I feel sorry for him because he was banned from TV promotions and it doesn't need to heads to guess who was behind. it's just the same with Jessica and Kibum too

realistically_ GDYBMINO Thursday, July 21, 2016

They didn't touch Jessica at all, she's all good to go for appearances.

GDYBMINO realistically_ Friday, July 22, 2016

But Jessica couldn't promote her album in any show

realistically_ GDYBMINO Friday, July 22, 2016

She wasn't looking to promote in on any music shows, it was for the fans she said. Also, she had a appearance planned for a radio show but it was cancelled due to misunderstandings and conflict with other guest appearances alongside her.

time will show the truth :)

daFoolio Thursday, July 21, 2016

ouch~~~~

pink_oracle Thursday, July 21, 2016

SM just be buying their way through the Korean courts like Trump bought a presidential nomination.

johwa pink_oracle Thursday, July 21, 2016

hear ! hear !!...totally agree!!!!

hiroonakamura Thursday, July 21, 2016

"There is no concrete proof."you always need proof - even if you know the truth.

Nanasoshi1007 Thursday, July 21, 2016

seriously, SM has that SUPER TALENTED IDOLS but all they see is money. I want Lee Soo Man back, or just move sm 's artists to another company that can take care of them well ALLTOGETHER because they're like family. It's true and i like it that SM promotes their idols really well and produce great music, but their "slave contract" is just too much. If there wasn't any slave contract, SM would be perfect.

Sakura_Chan Nanasoshi1007 Thursday, July 21, 2016

True! Ever since LSM left, SM is no longer a nice place for any artists. When I see SM, all I can see is $.. Look at them trying to make money out of their artists.. From food to water.. Tsk! Are the artists even getting a fair share of the profits?

DZico Thursday, July 21, 2016

I don't think anyone can win against SM , unless they on same level of power .. even hangeng and JYJ didn't win their law suits , they end it with reaching manual agreement .also I don't understand those idols , no one force them to sign the contract , they know what in it and still sign it , so they got only themselves to blame .

exorcism DZico Thursday, July 21, 2016

Luhan and Kris did

DZico exorcism Thursday, July 21, 2016

they didn't .. their law suit still haven't ended yet

exorcism DZico Thursday, July 21, 2016

I just read an article, they settled. Both are free now but they will have to share a percentage of their revenue with sm. I mean it's not a complete win but it could've been worse.

lolhaha exorcism Thursday, July 21, 2016

They didn't win at all they aren't free from SME till 2022. They technically lost because they are still slaves and now they also have to share revenue from all activities with SME. They also cannot promote in Korea and Japan now which is a huge loss because no one is going to hire them for movies if they cannot promote it all over Asia. Korea and Japan are the top markets after China.

exorcism lolhaha Thursday, July 21, 2016

You're right. I meant SM is not responsible for their management and activities. Anyways, I'm kinda confused why would you sign a contract like this without consulting a lawyer to begin with..

Llamby lolhaha Thursday, July 21, 2016

Damn! Talk about signing your soul away :(

GDYBMINO DZico Thursday, July 21, 2016

No JYJ won their lawsuit, the court ruled SM contract invalid for JYJ case.

atravista GDYBMINO Thursday, July 21, 2016

No jyj didn't win. Why don't you read better? loser

GDYBMINO atravista Friday, July 22, 2016

No 100% sure the WON. the only loser here is you, are you stalking me or what ? I thought you are an exclusive hater for JYJ in only their articles but I see that you stalk them everywhere to hate on them.

GDYBMINO DZico Friday, July 22, 2016

read details of what court said in Soompi article. they were unable to judge the contract invalid that's why he lost while for JYJ court ruled their contract with invalid clearly that why SM lost.
