According to Chinese media outlet Sina, Jackie Chan officially announced the news at the 'Shanghai International Film Festival', and confirmed that he has finalized the contract with Kris. He also stated, "We will continue to sign on with trending actors."

In addition, Jackie Chan commented about Kris's recent sex scandal rumors. He said, "Everyone has some sort of negative news about them. I am not an exception, but those will all pass by." Then to the question, "Are you ashamed of him?" Jackie Chan answered, "No."
