'Inkigayo' to have a month of special MCs with singers who shone in the first half of 2016

'Inkigayo' will have a month of special MCs!

Starting from June 5th, 'Inkigayo' will be bringing out singers who were iconic in the first half of 2016. With BTOB's Sungjae leaving last week, 'Inkigayo' now has no permanent MCs. The show will have new permanent MCs in July, but until then, there will be a new set of special MCs each week!

The first ones up on the 5th are TWICE's Nayeon, Tzuyu, and MONSTA X's Kihyun, Minhyuk. Who would you like to see in the remaining weeks?

They're lacking in vocal talent at the moment; I would say 2 or 3 members can actually "sing." They're doing great in variety and dance related stuff, but I hope they'll improve on their vocals more.

I disagree; Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany and Seohyun are fantastic singers while Yuri and Sooyoung are great singers. Yoona and Hyoyeon are the weaker singers in SNSD, but still nice ones!

I really don't understand why people keep naming Sunny when they mention SNSD's good singer. She's not stable in the slightest. When has she shown any above average vocal talent? I mean I don't think she sucks or anything but she isn't really a vocalist. Neither are Yuri and Sooyoung.

I think she's really good, actually. The problem's she's often given parts that doesn't really let her shine. But, her parts in e.g. You Think and Lion Heart showcased her beautiful voice well, I think. And I like Yuri and Sooyoung; their singing's great in e.g. Star Star Star and many of the group's Japanese songs

So, can you give me some examples of her giving an above average performance? I mean with actual video of her single live, not what she sounds like in the studio (for obvious reasons). Also, it's not that I think she, Yuri and Sooyoung are bad singers. I just don't think they are vocalists. They sing well enough to handle their lines in the group, but don't really stand out as vocalists on their own. Yuri for example had a pleasant tone when she was singing with Hyoyeon and Henry, but still overall she's not a strong vocalist as a solo. If being able to carry a tune and having a pleasant tone is the only requirement then I don't know why people are even insulting twice to begin with since outside of their stronger vocalist all of them have average voices and pleasant tones.

Since AKP doesn't allow links, I had to split each link up in order to share them. Sadly, it was more difficult to find new videos where Sunny performs solo live. Probably because she isn't as active in the music scene as e.g. Taeyeon and Tiffany due to other interests.

Kawaii-Angel Moa needs to come pop out of your avatar and give you a dress-down. Kpop isn't about vocals, never has been, and never will. The most important factor is visual and performance. Jpop is much smarter. They don't pretend every member is a vocalist. There are vocalists, and there are performers. They both contribute to the visuals and performance, but it comes off far more believable than kpop. Kpop continues the charade that all girl group members are vocalists when they aren't.

Exactly what I've commented on other comments; Idols = Performers but some idols = singers. I'd also like to add that Kpop also "continued the charade" that if you're a vocalist, you're automatically a rapper (regardless of your status as dancer or not). It's also quite infuriating when idols are labeled as rappers just because they can't sing. I'd like to mention that at least Jackson of Got7 acknowledged this flawed thinking by stating that he raps, but he wasn't a rapper. :)
