AOA held their showcase for "Good Luck" on May 16 at the Yes24 Live Hall on May 16, during which the member got emotional talking about their recent controversies including the incident on 'Channel AOA' and the issues surrounding their MV.

ChoA apologized for everything that's happened thus far, getting emotional as she did so. She told the press, "Firstly, this is the first time this kind of controversy has occurred. We want to say that we're really sorry to everyone who felt uncomfortable [about the controversy]. We'll use this as a lesson to make sure that something like this won't occur again. We'll strive to show you an improved image of us, so please look kindly upon us. I'm sorry.

Seolhyun, who was relaying her thoughts on this recent showcase, got teary-eyed as she said, "I will show you a more prudent side of me from now on. I'm sorry. I'll do my best." Seolhyun's part is around the 0:40 mark in the first clip below.

Jimin also shed some tears during the showcase, silently crying as she listened to Seolhyun give her thoughts. You can see that she starts crying around the 1:39 mark in the last video below.

honestly though them forgetting the national hero is kind of equivalent to an american citizen forgetting george washington but all this hate for aoa is crazy. there had been several times of where miss a's suzy was a bit forgetful but she wasn't as hated as aoa are. and well most of the hate is going towards seolhyun since there are knetz everywhere trying to bring her down in any way possible. what else do you want jimin & seolhyun to do?they've already apologized and even cried on broadcast.

They should do it like SNSD to succeed, never give a shit and don't talk about any of their controversies

I am Korean and let me tell you some ugly truths. A lot of K pop fans in Korea mostly consist of girls have been looking for any chance to sabotage Seolhyun for a while because they think she doesn't deserve all the recent phenomenal popularity. It is really important for a female idol to have female fan base since usually dudes don't get attached to one celebrity for long time and are very changeable while female fans are very loyal to their bias for such a long time and they protect their idols by arguing in a comment. And Seolhyun's fan base is always most likely guys so she has been so vulnerable to any kind of criticism. Every time the news about her is reported jealous girls who want their idols to be more popular leave such offensive comments on it. She is famous to have a lot of haters. It has been only a matter of time before she was caught up by these ugly jealous girls. You can see that Jimin got much less criticism for the controversy than Seolhyun even though Jimin was the one who called the Korean historical figure, Ahn, some funny Japanese name and Seolhyun did nothing (I am not blaming it on Jimin either). It happened not because Seolhyun something wrong but because It was destined to happen.

Honestly this comment is one of those comments where you don't know whether you want to like or to dislike the comment because you like the content of the comment... or you dislike it because of something bad has happened.... Anyways thank you very much for writing this and letting the international fans know about Seolhyun. Hopefully she will gain more supporters who will protect the beautiful girl :)

I agree! If I add some of my own thoughts to this being korean I think it also comes because generally these loyal fangirls don't like when other female idols are all cutesy or sexy/innocent but they're fine with girls with that "strong unnie" image like Jimin got really famous as a rapper in unpretty rapstar cursing and rapping but Seolhyun was always smiling and sunshine CFs and stuff so I think that's a big part, the image that companies/the industry give these artists are a big part of their fan base (Almost like how 2ne1 is really popular because they seem like the "strong bada$$ type" and Amber has a bunch of girls scream for her whenever she takes the center while most of FX's song is guys screaming) And this is just generally speaking not everybody is like that of course

yes it's because they probably think that the girls might 'seduce' the boys

my_love_is_moon Wednesday, May 18, 2016

what happened actually? what is the controversy? cn someone tell me?

JRIndo my_love_is_moon Wednesday, May 18, 2016

jimin forgot the name of a national hero, and blurt out the wrong name, and k netz take it as very offensive. though I think only haters think that, the other doesn't give a damn

pepper5552 Wednesday, May 18, 2016

knetz = international netz... just let idols be, they shouldnt control idol's lives unlike some trolls here who feel entitled

Im horrified that the netizens are a petty and childish bunch of losers; AOA are performers FIRST, so they should be judged on their ability to dance and sing (which they do in SPADES!). Everyone makes mistakes in general knowledge, its not like they're deliberately ignorant. AOA's new album is amazing, can't wait to see more live performances from them

Hopkinz Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Is this what kpop fans want? To publicly humiliate their favorite celebrities whenever they have the chance? To make them cry in front of everybody? This is just awful. Why are kpop fans always so cruel like this. Do they want their favorite groups to crash and burn?

JRIndo Hopkinz Wednesday, May 18, 2016

not kpop fans, but haters haha

Songriyen Tuesday, May 17, 2016

AOA are wonderful and nice girls, and this is what the public has subjected them to. Knetz and everyone who attacked them, you're really all disgusting and narrow-minded... AOA and Choa don't deserve to cry during their comeback.

Honestly something does felt wrong when I first watch the music video and I think they should start something new Seeing them being sexy all the time makes me feel restless
