The WINNER boys revealed that whenever any of the members wrote a new song, the first person they would play the song for would be Kim Jin Woo during their 'Cultwo Show' appearance on February 12.
Nam Tae Hyun explained that Kim Jin Woo had the best ear for what song would be popular and appealing to the masses, so the DJs asked him, "How does he judge that? Does he say harsh things?"

Kang Seung Yoon replied, "There's no reaction. If he listens and says nothing, then it's a song we'd trash." Nam Tae Hyun added, "Seeing as how they are songs we wrote, we can't help viewing them with rose-tinted glasses."
Kim Jin Woo revealed the reason he could make judgments with a cool head, stating, "I trained myself by listening to a lot of music during my training days."
