Guess what international students think of Korea?
Paloma Lopez, a student from Mexico, replied,"Students in my school started to show more interest in Korea. It was quite surprising in all aspects atfirst; however, I found much similarities with my country as I get along."
Karla Naves, a student studying international trade, said, "Miracle on the Han River came to me asthe most impressive one. It is the first time in history that the nation's economy grew this fast,"showing much interest in Korean economy.
Other international students also explained their experience getting help fromothers when got lost, mentioning "Koreans are nice and kind".
In addition, students picked the university's administration and medical service as the mostinconvenient part when living in Korea. Also, Valentina Jamba, a student from Angola, Africa, showeda little frustration towards Korean students, saying "They are nice but when it comes to becomingfriends, it is a bit difficult."
Koreans are warmhearted, but it is true that they don't show the intimacythrough a smiling face when it comes to the first impression. It might be those customs that maketourists and foreign students harder to become close to local Koreans.
This is how Visit Korea Committee started the 'K-Smile Campaign', a kind hospitality campaignthroughout the whole nation! With the slogan "Korea smiles and world smiles back", we plans toconstantly inform the importance of smile and warm hospitality. We ask for your continuousparticipation towards K-Smile Campaign.
Also, with the help of international students currently studying in Korea, we present you the tips oncomfortable and fun life in Korea for those who are preparing to study abroad in Korea as we operatekind hospitality campaign.
We proudly introduce '24 hour Tourist Information Call 1330'!1330 is a 24 hour tourist information call for both domestic and foreign tourists that offers variousinformation when traveling to Korea.
