After news of Davichi Kang Min Kyung's father conning a religious group was released, the father's legal representative stepped forward to oppose the wrongful usage of Kang Min Kyung's name as a media ploy.
Doo Kyung, the law firm representing Kang Min Kyung's father, stated through an article Tuesday, "Law firm Geum Sung mentioned Davichi's Kang Min Kyung, who has nothing to do with the litigation at hand, and used her name as a celebrity for media play. This litigation is solely Kang Min Kyung's father's to deal with, and his case was ruled 'not guilty' in the first trial."

A rep of Kang Min Kyung's father further stated, "A legal rep's role is practicing law that is related to a legal case, not linking a celebrity who has no relation to a litigation for media play. We are looking carefully into what we must do to bring legal action against Geum Sung for defamation and spreading falsities."
