SBS's 'Gayo Daejun' is a great chance for all the popular K-Pop artists to showcase their best talents and for their fans all over the world to see them perform on the grand stage. But the 'Gayo Daejun' festival this year was full of technical difficulties such as camera and audio issues and even word slips from one of the MCs, Shin Dong Yup

However, the technical issues weren't even the worst of the problems that arose from this year's 'Gayo Daejun.' During BTOB's performance, someone who is thought to be an SBS staff member uttered a remark that had offended BTOB fans.

A netizen uploaded a post venting his/her anger at what the staff member had said and also noted that that more than half of BTOB's performance was edited out.

The netizen wrote, "I'm angry about more than half of BTOB's stage being cut, but what I'm angrier about is the attitude of the SBS staff...As soon as [BTOB's] stage began, some man said ignorantly, 'Why are they doing a musical again?' which makes me feel really offended. Even if you are not a Melody, doesn't it make you angry? What's worse is that the words were heard by the members through their earpieces. It's the first time that I teared up as part of a fandom and felt annoyed and frustrated, so I wrote this. I can't sleep and my hands are shaking kekekekeke. I'd be grateful if you shared this post."

The netizen then shared a screen capture of the alleged apology from SBS regarding what the staff said, which reads, "First of all, we are sorry that we didn't look into [the issue] sooner. The mic glitch is just a misunderstanding. At the time, the only mics present were the ones handed to the artists and the ones installed in the audience seats. No mics were handed to the staff members. The production crew will look into the exact cause [of the glitch], but in the meantime, it was determined that that was not the voice of our staff member."

On the explanation from SBS, the netizen commented, "So what they are saying now is that kekekekekeke they took it as a joke; 'It's something that happened at our company's "Gayo Daejeon," but we have nothing to do with it^^,' is that what they're saying?"

Some of top comments go, "I've never seen Eunkwang make this expression in all the years I was a BTOB fan;; just what are you doing with busy people sh*t apologize to them, seriously," "Tbh, I'm not a fan but when I saw Eunkwang sighing, I almost cried;; it's a song that's precious to them so who are they to cut it and sh*t. Whether you have any conscience or not, apologize to BTOB," "I'm really disappointed at you SBS," and, "SBS, you better issue and official apology or else."

I only know some of BTOB's songs and I wouldn't consider my self a 'Melody,' but this is really messed up. I mean sure they made some technical mistakes, but whoever made that comment, "Why are they doing a musical again?" is really rude. Especially since the members themselves heard it right through their ears. Now, we don't know if it was really the staff member or somebody else, but whoever said that needs to get their shxt together.

As a strong supporter of BTOB I can't belive this happened! and after all their hard work and dedication, this is what they get?!? but i would like to point out how wonderful Sungjae is for continuing to smile and brighten the mood during the concert, this could just be his skilful acting though.

In Korea everyone know SBS is a pompous and rude company.

Don't expect them to apologise for the comment. Everyone has own idea. we also criticising the group music's that we don't like...Are we apologising after we say "I don't like their music they are doing.." are even using worst insults but acts like they have a right to share their thoughts when they don't like it..that person can say what he don't like about their performance but SBS has to apologise for mic glitch bc they are the workers and has to act professional when the shows go on...ıf they don't like some group performances they can talk about it together after the show.

I remember when BTOB was first announced to debut, they were amazing! I am truly grateful that they aren't one of those groups that just leaves the entrainment business after a while. Yes they might not be one of the top boy groups, but they are still talented and are still not giving up on their dreams!

SBS, come on...apologize if you know you did wrong. ;

-_- I can't even imagine what the members must have felt like. There you are, ready to give your best on stage, and some ignorant bastard decides to play critic for a day. AND SBS ??! What a joke of a statement !! What do you mean it's not your fault?! It's your sound system, your mics !! If you can't do a proper job than don't do it at all!

They did apologize for the mics and sound system. They just didn't admit the voice was coming from their staffs but rather to say it was from one of the audience since there are mics isnstalled at the audience seats. Idk the truth of this story.
